[edit] About the Consortium for the Science of Socio-Technical Systems

The CSST is a starfish organization of researchers that, broadly speaking, has the following goals:

• Supporting the people who belong to our community of researchers
• Defining the field of sociotechnical research
• Supporting research in the science of sociotechnical systems, including:
  • Promoting, funding, and developing other means of supporting research in the science of sociotechnical systems
  • Developing institutions and infrastructures to further research in the science of sociotechnical systems
  • Enabling research collaboration
• Providing a forum where issues of contention can be articulated and debated
